I'm excited to share this music video I directed for Red Hot Organization and 葉穎 Leaf Yeh. This song is featured on an indie-pop EP, NO FEAR IN LOVE, in the hope of celebrating the human rights milestone - the Marriage Equality bill in Taiwan - and to further advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Asia.
The music video conveys a journey of self-exploration and self-acceptance through the voice of Leaf Yeh. We used a teardrop as a symbol and metaphor for vulnerability. In our lives, we try to avoid being vulnerable, we repress emotions, we fear being different, and look for validation externally. But, if we could acknowledge and accept ourselves completely — be comfortable in our own skin — our uniqueness, individuality, and life experiences would shape us into fascinating beings, and that is the most beautiful thing!
